Chronic Medical Conditions

We understand that living with or beyond a medical condition is personal, dynamic, and ongoing. We are here to support you every step of the way. We specialize in working with individuals facing chronic or serious medical conditions, including cancer, diabetes, heart and lung disease, kidney and gastrointestinal conditions, insomnia, and long COVID.

Whether you are seeking a diagnosis, newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, or managing ongoing symptoms such as pain or fatigue, we can offer compassionate, individualized care tailored to your unique experience. Together, we can focus on topics such as: promoting emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness; making meaningful lifestyle changes; managing symptoms or side effects; strengthening communication with loved ones and coworkers; navigating the healthcare system; or exploring existential concerns.

Insomnia

If you are experiencing long-standing difficulty with insomnia, we can help. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is a structured, non-medication, first-line treatment for people who have trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking too early. It focuses on changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors around sleep to improve rest.

Treatment starts with a comprehensive assessment over two sessions, including keeping a two-week sleep diary to personalize recommendations. If appropriate, CBT-I typically continues for 4–8 sessions. Additional or alternative treatments may also be recommended to ensure the best possible improvement in sleep.

If this sounds like what you have been carrying, we would be glad to hear from you.
